Windows Store for Business is the place where IT decision makers, purchasers, and administrators find, acquire, manage, and distribute apps to Windows 10 devices. Windows Store for Business launched in November 2015 and was designed to simplify the app acquisition and management process for organizations of all sizes.

This blog discusses the newly expanded app selection and distribution options, including the new integration with Microsoft Intune , a cloud-based mobile device and application management solution.
Expanded app selection
Starting today, Windows Store for Business offers paid apps in select markets in addition to free apps. Organizations have more apps to choose from for volume purchase, and can use credit cards to pay for apps. Not included in this release - support for invoicing, volume discounts and organizational in-app purchases. Read more on TechNet .
Distribution
Administrators have a range of options to distribute apps to people in the organization, including directly from Windows Store for Business, or choose management tools (MDM/EMM) if more control over app distribution and app updates is required.
Distribute with Microsoft Intune
Microsoft Intune provides seamless integration with Windows Store for Business. Intune synchronizes app inventory of online licensed apps from Windows Store for Business with rich app metadata. It allows administrators to deploy apps, including push deployment and control of app updates from one place. If you use another management tool, Windows Store for Business provides documented interfaces for integrating with other systems. Distribute with Windows Store for Business
If you don’t use a management tool, you can leverage the Windows Store for Business built-in distribution with the following options:
- Directly assign apps and an e-mail will be sent to users, with the apps available in Windows Store app in My Library section, that is accessible from the Windows Store app menu on all Windows 10 devices.
- Publish apps in a private store page where users can self-discover needed apps and install them on their Windows 10 devices.
App updates are automatically delivered through Windows Update. Read more on TechNet .
