Probably the most frequent conversation we end up having these days is with customers who are preparing a migration from Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 8 (typically as a side-effect of migrating to Windows 7). A lot of the questions are technical, but many others are more nebulous – customers who are trying to understand the scope of the challenge, but are having a hard time getting some meaningful answers about what to expect. To help you get these answers, we’ve organized another Springboard Virtual Round Table to bring in customers, partners, and Microsoft specialists to discuss the full scope of the challenge, understand best practices, and get a better sense of how you can be more successful in making the transformation to a modern browser. I’ll be there to talk about app compat (naturally), and we’ll have plenty of other folks with various perspectives to provide you with some clear visibility into how others have made the migration (and made it faster or less expensively), as well as how you can do the same. I hope you will be able to join us live on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 9:00 am Pacific US time (UTC – 8). And of course it will be recorded for those of you where this time is inconvenient. http://ms.istreamplanet.com/springboard/

Hope to see you in a few weeks! If you have questions you want to be sure to answer, you can submit them in advance to vrtable@microsoft.com .
