Click function freezes frequently

Click function freezes every few minutes and pointer goes haywire, have to press alt+control+del and select 'Cancel' to restore normal clicking. 

Windows has been reset, mouse drivers uninstalled, restarted system for updated drivers, checked hardware issues, too, but nothing has helped so far, leading to frustration.

Is there any real solution to this problem?

can you check your taskmanager, order the processes by CPU usage and see which one is using the most when the freezes happen?
