1809 update copied my profile directory

After the 1809 update finished, my profile directory changed from C:\Users\mishkin to C:\Users\mishkin.000. The old (original) profile directory still exists. (It appears that the upgrade copied the original to the new location.)

Anyone have an explanation why this happened?
