Digital Activation

Hi all,

Previously we just used a VLSC product key to activate Windows 10. I used the Windows 10 Education ISO from the VLSC site.  I setup a test VM to use a reference image. It wasn't joined to the domain but connected to the Internet through our LAN.

It activated itself with by digital activation. I'm unsure how this happened though?

There's two ways to activate windows 10 now, digital and the use of a product key.
The digital comes from a chip probably on the Motherboard, and the only difference betwn the two is cosmetic, i.e. some personalization functions will not work. however you can fo the the Activation screen in win 10 and add a Microsoft Account and shezam, it's all good.
