Videos in Sway

Do videos embedded in sway using stream slow it down when loading and make it harder to edit?

I have about 12 videos I am streaming and one of the other editors says it slows down their machine. I haven’t had much trouble with it. Is there a better way to add videos?

Hi Steve - do you mean using Microsoft Stream?

I haven't tried that myself; I'm mostly familiar with adding via a video card, which generally means adding from YouTube, or uploading a video from OneDrive, which will use Azure Media Services.  Those players are slightly different, but they're pretty good at stopping other videos on the page from playing, which would otherwise be bad for performance.

Adding lots of videos would theoretically slow down the page a bit, but I wouldn't have thought it'd be all that bad - though I guess older devices could struggle a little more.
