Can SCOM be used to monitor SRS V2 (Lenovo ThinkSmart 500) device? All documentation points to using OMS.

Late reply, but just googling around this and the thread came up.
You can install 3rd party agents to SRS v2/MTR, so could use SCOM if you wanted to.

Yes you can but consider that MP for SCOM works only for SRS v1 (Lync Room System), and MP for SRS v2 doesn't exists. MS reccomend Operations Management Suite for monitor SRS v2
