Microsoft

It has been just over a year since we’ve launched our next generation of Skype Room Systems to transform your meeting rooms with one-touch join in a center of table console, all on a Windows 10 managed system.

The Logitech SmartDock has shown great momentum this past year with many Fortune 500 companies deploying it across their conference rooms.  In fact, Microsoft is actually one of the largest customers, having already deployed thousands of Logitech SmartDock Skype Room Systems across headquarters in Puget Sound, and it has become a design standard for meeting refreshes going forward.  The Logitech SmartDock is also being continuously innovative, with new streamlined cabling and other features called Logitech SmartDock Flex. Logitech along with Pexip, invite you to join an informative webinar session featuring pragmatic solutions to video collaboration challenges. Register here.

The Crestron SR is now available as well!  Crestron has additional capabilities through Crestron Fusion that you can add on to gather room usage data for meaningful insight. Further, Crestron provides Remote Control to provide remote room control and administration eliminating the need to send individuals to the room.  For rooms that are already outfitted by Crestron, you can also manage other features of the room like lighting and the blinds from the SR directly as well.

Our latest partner is also now available.  Polycom’s Skype Room System, the MSR, combines a native Skype experience with Polycom’s voice (Trio) and video solutions (Eagle Eye camera). Think Skype video, just bigger and better for the conference room.  MSR and the Polycom voice and video supported devices work on Skype for Business, Office 365 and, soon, with Microsoft Teams.

The Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub 500 is our first partner with built-in audio and LED status indicator.  We announced our partnership a few months ago at Ignite and looking forward to launching later this quarter, expanding our portfolio of Skype Room Systems.

And if you’re looking for a solution that needs to work with existing investments in different standards-based endpoints (Polycom, Cisco, LifeSize), the good news is that you can make those disparate systems interoperate with our cloud video interop partners: Pexip and Polycom.  Pexip Infinity Fusion is a certified video interoperability gateway for Skype for Business Server that enables non-Skype VTC users to seamless join SfB meetings.  For Office 365 and hybrid customers, Polycom’s RealConnect enables you to leverage your existing footprint and turn your existing video devices into native Skype for Business endpoints.  Don't forget there's a 30 day free trial for O365 customers or if you're an on-premise customer, contact TeamPolycom@polycom.com to inquire about their 60 day free trial.

This week, we joined thousands of you at ISE, and we hope you stopped by our many partner booths showcasing our meeting room solutions.

Stay tuned for a lot more exciting news to come at Enterprise Connect in March, where our own Bob Davis will keynote on March 14
