Skype Operations Framework Cloud Migration Release

‎11-21-2016 02:12 AM

We are pleased to share the release of the updated Skype Operations Framework (SOF). The Cloud Migration release extends SOF and is intended to play a significant role in helping our customers and partners migrate from current On-Premises deployments to Skype for Business online leveraging the SOF lifecycle of Plan, Deliver and Operate.

With this expansion, we’re releasing a set of tools, workshops and methodologies specific to supporting customers with an On-Premises deployment migrate to Skype for Business Online.  Assets that make up this offer also cover the hybrid co-existence period between on premises and online versions. Activities and assets that make up this release can be leveraged by organizations of any size.  The intention of the SOF Cloud Migration release is to provide resources that Microsoft partners and customers can leverage and incorporate into their own planning, delivering and operating processes.

We invite you to join us for a new set of SOF training sessions focused on Cloud Migration. Registration for training sessions can be accessed through Skype Academy here.

In conjunction with the SOF assets, SOF Partners are a key component of the plan, deliver, and operate methodology to assist our customers in deploying Skype for Business Online successfully. Hundreds of organizations have undertaken training since the introduction of SOF.  Modality, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Avanade, Unify Square, Tata Communications and Carousel are a few of the top-tier customers who now offer SOF aligned services.

We are pleased to share the availability of SOF Assessments for customers and partners. IT Administrators and Skype for Business professionals are encouraged the review the training available through the Skype Academy and complete the assessment to receive the Skype Operations Framework Ready classification.

SOF assets have a lifecycle and are subject to update. To find out more about SOF and see the latest updates, please visit www.skypeoperationsframework.com where you can contribute feedback, learn more about the offers and SOF trained partners.

Once you’ve had an opportunity to apply the methodologies, join in the conversation and share your experience on the SOF Community ( https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Skype-Operations-Framework-Skype/bd-p/SOF. ) As always, we love having your feedback!
