SharePoint Library .txt file upload

Copper Contributor

Hi all,

a colleague of mine described the following scenario to me:

"When I upload a .txt file using drag and drop to a specific subfolder, and then I navigate to another subfolder, Sharepoint is still showing me the TXT file from the previous folder which doesn’t actually exist in this subfolder.

Funny enough, I am able to open the file from this location and see the content. When I close the tab and open the portal again, the file is not shown in this subfolder, because it is not uploaded there, of course."

Do you have any solution to this above-mentioned problem?

Thanks and best regards

Sounds like a bug that needs reported. just going to be something with the rendering on the library, when you open the file it's just opening it directly, it's just a rendering thing, you won't lose changes etc. as the file is still uploaded and opened by an ID. Folder in SharePoint don't work the same as folders in a file system, it's literally like a virtual folder that renders ID's under it.
