SharePoint Audit Logs vs Office 365 Audit logs

Hi,

Whats the difference between SharePoint Audit logs and Office 365 audit logs which we get in Security & Compliance Center? Is there any event which is not captured in O365 audit logs which are there in Site Collection audit logs?

Or is it so that going forward audit setting will be removed from Site Collection level and audit logs can be seen in Security and Compliance Center?

So is it not at all necessary to enable audit settings at site collection level? And O365 audit logs will cover all possible events which are mentioned in site collection audit settings?
