SharePoint 2019 - Anonymous users prompted for credentials on Modern Communication Site

Brass Contributor

SharePoint 2019 On-Premise:

My root site collection is a modern communication site. It is accessed anonymously. If you navigate to the address you will be able to see it anonymously. However, the page tries to render a few assemblies or access URLs which anonymous users apparently do not have access to and it prompts for login.

I'm trying to figure out how to disregard these calls for anonymous users... or just turn them off.

These are the errors in the console

Usually those are from the "Comments" or social bar on the page that would need turned off. Activity monitor dunno if they will still prompt if you turn off the comments on the page(s).

@Chris Webb  Thank you!

It was the Following Content feature on the site. I deactivated it and we are prompt free.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
