We migrated our SharePoint 2010 on-prem farm to SharePoint 2013 on-prem and then to SharePoint 2016 on prem. When we create a new site, it seems that it is using either the SP2013 or SP2010 site creation template. It does create a site, but it does not use our customer master page and theme. Each time we create a site, we need have to manually update the theme and set the master page.
Is there a way that we can see what template is being used at site creation?
Is there a way to change or set the site template to be used at site creation time?
