Highlighted Content Web Part Issues

Did an update go out recently that would impact the highlighted content web part on modern team site?  Currently, it will not respect the value entered in "show this many items at a time".  If a newly added highlighted content web part was added to the page, by default, will show 10, but if that number was changed to 5, it will show more than 5.  Same situation, if the value was changed to 1, it will show 10.  This issue will occur regardless of the layout chosen.  Did we stumble across a bug?

Seems to work just fine on my tenant. Can you set the number to 5 and change the sort options, just to see whether something changes?

Thank you for the response.  I checked the modern sites and everything seems to be working fine this morning.
