I've setup an approval workflow for when users submit new pages to the site. Essentially, if the page is a news post page, it will require approval before it's published to the site.
When users create a news post page, there appears to be no way to force them to input metadata for the page. For example, we need the news post to be categorised by location, so we want users to select the news location using metadata when they submit the article.
I've set the location field as mandatory, but absolutely nothing forcefully prompts the user to enter data into this field. They can create the page, click 'submit for approval', and it just skips the metadata entirely despite being mandatory. In addition, the user has to click the 'page details' button to see the metadata fields, it's not obvious at all and will definitely be missed by most users.
Is there any workaround for this?

@Toby McDaid you might be able to use Flow buttons to get input from the user. This is a good example
