Enable Top link bar and mega menu in Modern Team sites

First of all, I am aware that Mega Menu are only available in Modern Communication Sites. But is there any ways to enable Mega Menu in Modern Team sites? 

If so has anyone implemented this feature?

I think there is a custom spfx extension that you can probably install to get similar functionality but nothing out of box currently can. They are supposed to be bringing out a feature to make normal sites into comm site layout and at that point you should be able to use the mega in team sites.

Microsoft recently introduced "Navigation Switcher" feature to team sites using which you can top navigation & mega menu style for team site navigation. This feature is generally available (GA) to all customers now.
