At some point will we be able to drag and drop or create shortcuts to folders within our business server as a link to said locations?
We intend on using SP as a new intranet, but uploading all documents required isn't practical as we hold customer documents/specifications and some documents are updated on a daily basis meaning constant uploads and replacements on SP.
It makes sense for all documents to be in one place, however it would be a lot easier to save them within our business server and upload a link to it on SP. This way it saves having to constantly updated SP when a document is updated as the shortcut link would take you to the folder where said, live, documents are kept.
It would also clear the ambiguity of using out of date documents. People will always be more familiar with our systems filing and if live documents are moved to SP.
