Hello All,

Something that I think will help you with creating a more dynamic web site in SharePoint 2013 is catalog enabled libraries and lists, and the Search web parts.

Let me explain myself, starting with the catalog enabled libraries and lists.  You would first have to enable the cross-site feature in the source site (You can have as many sites as you want setup to do this) then you can setup one or more lists as catalogues, consider each list as a specific subject that can be consumed from any Site Collection in the farm.  You can use these catalogues to display anything from news articles to products, with search refiners and navigation all built out of the catalogue.

On top of that there are search web parts which will make it even easier to show off the content in your farm and surface it in many different ways.

Using these features I think you will find that people will be more comfortable finding things in your site and navigating around.
