I watched the Microsoft Ignite video.
Did I understand it right - there will be a Windows 7 SP which will enable MSIX in the future?

What is your timeline for supporting Windows 7.

It most likely will not be a service pack, but a supplemental download. We have not defined a timeline yet for the release, but we have a public preview on GitHub. https://github.com/Microsoft/msix-packaging/tree/master/preview/Win7Msix

It's the same GH repo, the subfolder just got renamed:

@MasterMysterious Bogdan's post is the updated link.  It's officially called MSIX Core now since it covers more than just Windows 7.
