OCM encountered an error. Won't start.

OCM stopped working days ago. Reboots don't help. Subscription still valid. How do I get access back to OCM?

Re: OCM encountered an error. Won't start.

Hi Brett,

1. Please go to IE settings > General > Settings under Browsing history > Caches and databases.

2. Delete cache files for the website "outlookapps.com".

3. Restart Outlook 2016.

If the issue persists, I've sent you a private message to collect more information for us to investigate the issue. You can click the envelope icon in the right corner to access it.

Thanks,

Kanjie

That fixed it.

Re: OCM encountered an error. Won't start.

User gets this repeatedly when trying to use OCM in Outlook 2016. Same user is unable to modify contacts in OWA.  Have removed and re-added Add-IN and have cleared cache and databases several times to no avail. Please advise.

I have a new installation and I am getting the same error any progress on the fix.

Re: OCM encountered an error. Won't start.

Hi - I also have this issue with the following Error Message:  2690-1548285215753 "Something Went Wrong, Please Try Again"

I've tried deleting the outlookapp from IE, but this doesn't help and the same issue seems to happen, even after restarting Outlook 2016.

Is there a better solution?

Re: OCM encountered an error. Won't start.

I'm having the same issue. I got a little further with the suggested action of deleting the cache files in IE, however, now the error displayed in Outlook is just a little different.

Translated the error reads: "Something went wrong. Please try again".

Hope you can help.

Thanks.

Re: OCM encountered an error. Won't start.

Same issue here. Same error in German language.

OCM appears like banana-ware* to me.

Re: OCM encountered an error. Won't start.

Hi Kanjie,

the error exists on my Computer in Outlook even without using IE at all.

Is there some help under development?

Patrik
