Office ProPlus 1708 on Windows - Improved "easier" Sign-In Experience - How has it improved?

Copper Contributor

We are testing Office ProPlus version 1708 on out Windows 10 version (1703) creators build. When configuring a new Outlook account, or if you log-out and then back-into Outlook via Office Accounts, the new sign-in wizards purports to offer two improvements:

Easier sign in - makes it easier to sign in to other apps and websites.

Not having to enter password "each time" -  “Clicking yes means that you won’t have to enter your password each time…”

We note that when users do this, it leads to their Windows 10 computers being Azure AD-registered.

I can't find any documentation that explains how specifically sign-in is easier, and how moving forward passwords will not be required 'each time'.  Does this mean that users will never need to enter their password to get to Outlook or other apps?

Any advice and guidance (references) on this would be appreciated.

Cheers,
