onedrive for business increasing the recycle bin time to 2 years from 93 days

Hello All,

Is there is any way to increase the recycle bin timing from 93 days to two years ?

We have SharePoint Online and planning to implement one drive for business. 

We are migrating users home drive to R drive. As per our business policy, user can recover any files that has been deleted  within two years.

Microsoft official policy user got 93 days to recover the deleted file. is there is any way we can increase it 2 years ?

Please advise.

Nope, you can extend how long files stay around for deleted accounts but you cannot extend the recycle bin. You can also set preservation policies up to keep a copy of deleted and changed items in the preservation library for as long as you set it for, but this introduces folder renaming / moving issues that you'll have to education users on etc. and can become problematic but it's doable.
