grant anonymous access to entire lists

Copper Contributor

Hi Members,

I have a client with a SharePoint online site and they would like to share out via anonymous links entire lists that have been created - for edit

Info: the list is essentially a list of items that gets sent to the contractors externally (via anonymous edit links if possible) for them to mark it up, update once the item/s have been actioned and saved/updated in the SPO site.

Everything I know and have read says this cannot be done via Anonymous edit links... Files and folders yes, but lists no, especially on SPO.

Can anyone please confirm this for me.

Thanks in advance

No you cant share a list with an anonymous link.

Why not share an excel file, the users can then update etc. If you do this from OneDrive you could get Flow to automate adding rows from a list to excel and update back again.
Basically you cannot configure anonymous access at the list level or site collection level...you can do it at the document level, but no at the other scopes mentioned

Thanks everyone for the replies and for confirming as I thought that it couldn't be done.

However I will look into that Excel option and how we go down that path.
