disabling Office 365 groups and its implication of Teams, Planner, Yammer groups.

Iron Contributor

Hi,

The link below helps to put in place some restriction in creation of groups.

https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/manage-who-can-create-office-365-groups-4c46c8cb-17d0-44b5-...

However, could you please let me know the implications it will have on teams as we know that whenever we create a Team, it creates underlying Office 365 Group and a site collection in the background.

Will it block creating Teams as well and if not what will happen to the creation of groups in the background if they are not in the group.

What will happen to yammer groups when created or Planner.

Thanks

You have the Answers in the article: if you disable Office 365 Group creation for some users, they won't be able to create Teams, or Plans, or integrate Yammer with O365 groups.
