Recently, following an update (I believe), whenever I try to change the fill color in a cell in a table in Word 365 with a custom color, what happens is that the specified text color in the text color icon on the tool bar changes to the new fill color that I have chosen but the cell fill color itself doesn't change and neither does the selected color on the fill color icon. Instead what happens is that the new custom colour is added to 'recent colors' and I have to select it from there by going back to the fill color dialog a second time. Furthermore, I also have to reset the text color to its previous setting despite not having intentionally changed it in the first place. Is this a programming error that will be corrected in future or do we have to change some hidden setting?
