ESM E5 with Microsoft 365 E3

Copper Contributor

Hi Folks,

Hopefully a fairly straight forward question.

Any downside to running ESM E5 with an Microsoft 365 E3 subscription? Have a cost challenge going full on Microsoft 365 E5 but want the ESM E5 security capability. Was thinking of any elements of ESM E5 that may be made redundant or degraded in value whilst attached to an ESM E3 sub.

Many thanks

Paul

No. M365 is basically a collection of services, the EMS E3 plan included is the same as you would get if you purchase the standalone EMS plans. Thus the EMS E5 will actually offer better functionality than what's included in M365/EMS E3.

Much appreciated Vasil, thanks for taking time to get back to me.
