Office 365 Group Naming policies

Looking for advice here.

We follow naming policy for legacy DL's prefaced as grp-<name of DL>

I am in the process to create new naming standard for o365 groups so that it can be easily differentiated between legacy DL's

Any one has suggestion for naming standard?

RE: Office 365 Group Naming policies

The same naming policy applies to both DLs and Office 365 Groups. You can't have a different policy for Groups, unless you implement it yourself by creating a PowerShell script that checks all group display names for compliance with policy and updates as necessary. Should take about 15 minutes to write (for me, anyone competent will take less time).
