And that's a wrap! Our final Tech Summit event of the series was hosted in Warsaw, Poland where over 2,600 IT Pros and Tech Enthusiasts gathered over two days to learn about the latest Microsoft has to offer in the cloud. Attendees came from far and wide to join us!
We had a strong showing for both keynotes, the first delivered by @Craig Dewar, Senior Director for Windows Product Marketing, and the second on Azure from Jeffrey Snover, Microsoft Technical Fellow.
Attendees had their work cut out for them choosing between over 70 breakouts across the two days. Breakouts covered from Azure Active Directory to AI, from Windows Defender to Yammer.
Continuing our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, Microsoft hosted a 90min breakout with a panel discussion featuring women executives in the local area, many of whom were Microsoft customers.
We are extremely pleased to see a lot more diversity in our attendees as well! Our theater sessions were packed, many delivered by our local MVPs.
Also on offer during the event were 3.5hr invitation-only workshops delivered by Microsoft experts. Our MVPs lent a hand as proctors in supporting attendees with their questions during the workshops.
The MVP community not only turned up to deliver theater presentations, breakouts and workshops, but brought their enthusiasm to the Hub where Partner booths, Community Central and the Expert Center were located.
When attendees come to a Tech Summit event, many of them have plenty of questions to ask. We had a dedicated 'Ask the Experts' hour where all our speakers and experts made themselves available over drinks and food for attendees to ask any questions they may have. Our MVPs gathered around the expertise 'totem poles' helping those with questions find the people who have the answers.
We managed to draw one of the biggest names at Microsoft to the very last Tech Summit panel series. Keynote speaker and Microsoft Technical Fellow Jeffrey Snover was invited to be a panelist for the first panel on cloud services adoption. Our second panel was focused on cloud security. Both were enthusiastically moderated by MVP Tomasz Onyszko.
It was hard to ignore Jeffrey's star power - lots of attendees came by to shake hands and take selfies!
Thank you to all of our community members who have taken the time to meet with us while we've been on the road for the Tech Summits! Extra special thanks to the MVPs and RDs who have volunteered their time, many travelling long distances to support these events. We cannot thank you enough for being active members of the community. We are excited to keep you up to date on the next iteration of the Tech Summits, but for now we are all focused on planning an amazing experience at Microsoft Ignite for you in Orlando this September in 2018. We hope to see you there!
