We traveled to Toronto, Canada for our fourth city on the Microsoft Tech Summit tour! Over 3,000 attendees braved the cold weather for two days of intensive technical learning with Microsoft at a completely sold-out event.
There were two packed days of content for attendees at the Tech Summit Toronto, from keynotes to theater sessions to breakouts.
Day 1 of Tech Summit Toronto included two keynotes: "Microsoft Azure: Cloud for All" with Arpah Shah, General Manager, Azure Infrastructure Marketing, and "Create a modern workplace with Office 365" with Catherine Boeger, General Manager, Microsoft Office Marketing.
(Please check out Catherine Boeger's blog piece on the topic!)
The "Ask The Experts" theatre presentations were popular, with lots of thoughtful questions from the crowd about topics like AI, Machine Learning, and DevOps, including a well-attended panel by @Dux Raymond Sy on AI!
Day 1 ended with an Ask the Experts reception, featuring food, drink and experts from different product groups answering questions. During this time, attendees clamored to our Community Central booth for coupons for free Microsoft Tech Summit T-shirts, which we gave away to new Tech Community members and to attendees with questions, suggestions and thoughts about the Tech Community. We also gave away a few pieces of fun swag.
A number of helpful MVPs assisted us at the booth, answering technical questions, offering information on the MVP program, staffing labs and helping people register as members of the Tech Community. Thanks to all of the MVPs who joined us!
Most attendees busily attended breakout sessions on Day 2.
Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive all had popular sessions!
During breaks, people chatted to us about the vibrant city of Toronto and how the Tech Community helps them with their work. It was great to connect with so many members of the Microsoft Tech Community in person, and we can't wait to see you next time!
