Microsoft Tech Summit Tel Aviv Nov 29-30 2017

The Microsoft Tech Summit series continued on to its second city - Tel Aviv! It was great to see a strong turnout of attendees - 1,600 at final count. This was our second time taking the event to Israel and we took the opportunity to meet new community members and reacquaint ourselves with local MVPs.

Tech Summit Tel Aviv started Day 1 with two keynotes  'Create a modern workplace with Microsoft 365' with Senior Product Marketing Manager, Brad McCabe and 'Microsoft Azure: Cloud for All' with CVP Julia White.

The Tel Aviv Tech Summit also coincided with Scott Guthrie's Red Shirt Dev tour. It was all Scott Guthrie delivering 5 hours of content and featuring over 60 demos! It was a very impressive effort.

We were giving away Microsoft Tech Summit t-shirts on the day. T-shirts were redeemable via coupons that were collected when attendees chatted to the friendly staff at the Tech Community and Microsoft Expert Center booth. Make sure you collect your coupons early to get your preferred t-shirt size!

It was great to see lots of local MVPs at the Tech Summit! MVPs were there to help answer questions, help attendees familiar with the MVP program, staff labs, and help them become new members of the Tech Community.

Our MVPs were part of our Ask The Experts panel discussions. We had two panel discussions, a Collaboration panel discussion featuring @Stephen Rose and MVPs @Nati Papirovitch@Hilton Giesenow and Microsoft specialist at Telit, Mano Dory.

Our second panel was all about Azure and conducted in Hebrew featuring Nir Mashkowski, Partner Director Program Management of Azure App Service and Azure Functions at Microsoft, and MVPs @Alon Fliess@Tamir Dresher and Ido Katz.

The local MVP community also delivered short 15min presentations in the Hub Theater sharing tips and tricks covering topics from Sharepoint, Windows Defender, to Cognitive Services. These were very well attended with many speakers engaged in Q&A discussions after their session wrapped up.

Our breakout sessions were also very well attended with some rooms with standing room only remaining.
