It was great to return to the NEC in Birmingham (UK) to deliver another incredible Tech Summit event. Over 3,200 unique attendees attended the event across the 2 days. The Microsoft Tech Summit offered attendees access to more than 200 hours of technical content, including keynotes for Microsoft 365 and Azure. The event featured more than 80 breakout sessions, 19 theater sessions, close to 100 hands-on-labs, and 6 workshops.
As part of all Tech Summit events we had two keynotes. The first keynote was focused on Microsoft 365 delivered by Stella Chernyak, Senior Director, Office 365, with great demos from Brad McCabe.
Victoria Grady, General Manager, Azure Experience Marketing, delivered the second keynote of the day focused on Azure.
Our breakouts were extremely popular, some hosted in inflatable 'Cloud' rooms.
Our Theater sessions were also extremely popular, with many of our MVPs delivering short 15min sessions sharing best practices across a range of Microsoft technologies.
Our MVP community were extremely helpful, chatting to attendees and helping them with their questions at the Expert Center and Tech Community booth.
We hosted two Ask The Experts panels moderated by MVP & RD @Dux Raymond Sy - the first focused on Modern Workplace and the second on Diversity and Tech.
Scott Guthrie, Executive Vice President of the Cloud and Enterprise product group, took the Red Shirt Dev Tour to Birmingham too and took attendees through a crazy amount of demos and presentations across a 5 hour session.
There are plenty of opportunities to learn in other ways including Labs on Demand and Workshops.
Our next scheduled Tech Summit will be in Cape Town! We're excited to take the Tech Summits to South Africa again and look forward to meeting many of you in person there.
