I'm a guest in several teams / other organzations. In Teams is an notification indicator at the top-right corner with the total number of notification, and when you click the drop-down menu you get individual number of notifications for each organization.
These notifications does not update, or update very slow, after I have read them. See attached image. I have opened these teams / cleared these notifications days ago. But they keep reappearing over and over again. Opening the actual team, and there is no new notifications.
Yup, I have the same issue. You have to actually go in and click activity feed and make sure they are read, usually it wont' show new things, but it seems going there and back will clear it out, but it's doesn't match up right often and have to play hop skip with it.
We have, and we have reported it over a dozen times over the course of several months. They supposedly "fixed" something, but I keep seeing incorrect "pill count", delays and whatnot. I've given up at this point and simply use different clients for different organizations, where possible.
Similar, but different related issue: As a Guest User in another Tenant, the aforementioned notification icon in the "teams selector" drop-down is never updated when someone from the Tenant for whom I am a guest triggers an Activity (Chat, Likes, etc.) for me as a Guest.
The notification for my "home tenant" teams does update and display correctly.
If anyone in the thread finds a resolution, please pass along.
