Will Teams get an option to dial you when joining a meeting like Skype does today? I can do it after I join the meeting but I want the ability to do it when I'm joining the meeting like Skype. The only user voice request I find for this only has three votes.

Nothing I've seen, and if there's only you and three other people that want it then it's not likely to be a priority.

Agree, I was hoping it was one of those fractured user voice entries where I found the one with three votes but didn't find the one with 15,000 votes.

It is interesting that it doesn't ever seem to come up as its a pretty big experience change from SfB, but you are first person I've seen mention it.
Teams is more tolerant of lower bandwidth connections, and when things get very bad if offers to call you on PSTN as a fall back.

We use it a lot. For our home office the Skype number is a long distance number if we dial it direct from our desks so we encourage people to have the meeting dial them. Not that many people use headsets to connect.

Why not? Headsets and crystal clear audio quality is the way forward. Or join from the mobile app.
I can't remember the last time I used a desk phone, it's a bit like this isn't it -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OADXNGnJok

I don't see many customers using this but I know that there is some that see it as critical. Actually there is more than you and three others that want this feature, but the problem with uservoice is to find an idea so there is multiple ideas posted for the same feature.

When you work for an insurance company that has a lot of older employees you like to find solutions that work for them rather than forcing them to change to meet the way the solution works. There's nothing wrong with dialing a work phone, it works quite well when I have a meeting in my office with several other people and we use phones in our conference and scrum rooms every day. It works better than my mobile device. I'm not planning on getting rid of my phone any time soon so why shouldn't it be as easy to use with Teams as it was with Skype. Doesn't seem like an unreasonable request.
