I have a question about using forms (i.e.. pdf, word, excel) in teams. I started a form thinking I could make the form a tab in teams for my team to fill out. All I think I can really do is edit a form in teams then email it. Then when it is to be filled out, the person doing that must open the forms app.
My question is, is there a way to put a form, to be filled out, into teams so my team can fill out the form without leaving teams?
Not using files there isn't. You need to employ using SharePoint custom powerapps forms or if it's simple enough Microsoft Froms, then use a website tab(to your sharePoint list) or forms tab (forms). Eventually there will be a better SharePoint integration tab to use.
Thanks so much for taking the time to go through these scenarios. MS Forms & SharePoint online forms work great as tabs for me in Teams browser and desktop.
After further testing, I noticed the Forms tab within Teams mobile app (iphone 7) directs me to log into my Forms account when clicking the tab and never presents me with the individual form I selected for the Teams tab. Once authenticated, just leaves me in my MS Forms lobby.
The best work around I found was to add the form to teams as a website tab instead of the form tab. This will allow your mobile users to open it through the teams app on their phone (it will open in safari).
