Hi!

Currently we are experiencing some problems with instances of Teams which have been rolled out trough the Teams Powershell Module.

The (by script provisioned) Teams have problems with adding Planner-tabs to it. Owners and members are unable to attach a new Planner tab/instance to it.

Once we roll out a Teams by hand (via the GUI) the problem won’t appear and the users are able to addd a Planner tab.
So there is something still buggy in this Teams Powershell module?!

Ayone else who is experiencing this problem?

Works fine for me, just created a team using PowerShell (v0.9.5) and added a Planner tab.
Maybe there were some issues that have been resolved, you should try again and if you don't succeed raise a ticket with support.

Hi Magnus!

I think i have found the issue!

When i add a user (by UPN) saved as variable, then the Teams won't let anyone create Planner tabs.

Although the Teams is being created AND the owner is being added... But wont let them create Planner-tabs.

Run as Admin:

$Group = New-Team -DisplayName "ABC Team"  -Description "ABC Team" -Accesstype Private

$Teamadmin1 = "non-admin-user@company.com"

Add-Teamuser -Group.GroupId -user $Teamadmin1 -Role Owner

Can you repeat this and then login as that user who has been assigned as the Owner.

Try to create a Planner-tab.... it will be prevented by an error...

And when i directly assign, it works....
Add-Teamuser -Group.GroupId -user "non-admin-user@company.com" -Role Owner

Hi,

It's far from obvious, but you need to add the user as a member first for this to work, then promote to owner either with PowerShell or in the Teams client.

\Magnus
