Teams Auto Attendant with Extension Support - Status?

Although we continue to promote moving away from Extension dialing and coach users to use their full E.164 number, SIP# and other more feature rich collaboration; it keeps coming down to old habits being hard to break. We are beginning to displace Avaya IP Office Systems with S4BO/Teams with some success, but some of these old habits, like the Auto Attendant extension dialing are challenging to get users to adopt different approaches. Is there a new update as to a general target date when this might be available? I've read "this summer", but wanted to check in to see if there are delays or still targeting EO Summer or perhaps a more specific date now.

@Jeff_Anders I guess the Dial by name function in Auto Attendant is not okay for your users?

 

When you say extension dialing is it from desk phones that users want to type the extension? You have the normalization you can do in Dial plans.
