Hello,

I have seen two separate experiences when opening SfB as a Teams only user.  One, there is the "Your organization is using Teams!" with two buttons - Start Skype for Business (useful for past convos and upcoming SfB meetings), and a Go to Teams button.

The other, I get the same message, but only the Go to Teams button.

I get these experiences on two different machines, both with the latest Click to Run O365 clients, the same tenant, and the same account.

Obviously if I were an org transitioning to Teams, I would want the first scenario, so my users who have migrated to Teams only would have the option of joining SfB meetings through a desktop client when legacy users invite them.  Otherwise, you have two user populations who can't easily join each other's meetings.

Not sure either how you are getting the first one, I've never seen that. But both options let you still join meetings via Skype. You just click the link via e-mail/IM etc. and it will auto open skype and join, you don't use the client to join them directly per say.
Must be a new experience they are pushing cause I just loaded up Skype for Business and get that new screen. I think ti's just something easier to read for users, the function is still the same since on the old one you can click the small link under questions.
Oh - I didn't even see that link. It's funny, we've had the opposite experience. Until yesterday I'd never seen the first version, and even months ago I had seen the version where you get both buttons available.
It’s been a long time since I used or paid attention lol
The difference might be 32 vs 64 bit client. I used to install 32 and see old one. This time around I have 64bit? Could check that.
Yeah, I'll give that a shot, thanks!
Hm, yeah I tested both, and it didn't seem to make a difference.
What I want to know is how to get rid of SfB after the migration to Teams occurs. Microsoft should have an option to do that for Office 365 users.
You can choose to not install it via office deployment or via intune. Not sure about removal after the fact but most people keep it around for meetings from orgs not moved to Teams. It would be nice to have some better removal strategies for it.
