Sizing Problem with Teams

Copper Contributor

I am in the process of migrating from Sky for Business to Teams. Usually I leave both Sky and Outlook opened side by side in my secondary monitor. The problem with Teams is its window can't be reduced to fit in a monitor side by side with Outlook. Can Microsoft combine these two windows together since both of them are for communication?

Hi @_Frank995

I tested it this evening on a surface and worked. You should be able to resize both the desktop app and the web app to half the screen or the proportions you want

May be better to run Teams in a browser which you can access at https://teams.microsoft.com. It's not the cleanest experience and multiple uservoices have been raised such as

So if the above doesn't work for you I would vote on the uservoices. In addition, the new multiwindow capabilities which is being released next year may help as you can pop out chats, meetings etc.

In terms of merging the Outlook/Teams clients, then AFAIK there is no plans for that. I have seen a user who has integrated Outlook web app into Teams via a custom app but that doesn't have the full desktop functionality and isn't fully supported.

Hope that answers your question!
