Shared files via OneDrive not updating

Is there any plan to sync files between Teams and OneDrive? I created a Team and that created a folder in Sharepoint in OneDrive client. Any files I add using Teams show up in this folder. But if I mnually add a file in this folder using Explorer or Word/Excel desktop, it does not show that file in Teams to either myself or the Team members.

Very strange what you are experiencing...I have just verified using the Desktop Teams App that If I upload a file to a channel using the browser or using any of the desktop app (specifying the path of the team site), I can see these files in the App
