Anyone ever run in to this? Screen sharing from/to an Android device only works when “Allow IP Video” is turned on in the Teams Meeting policy. This is not desired as it turns on Video for all desktops etc.. If this setting is off, screen sharing works fine for IOS, desktop etc just not on Android......Does this make any sense?
I didn't know that screen sharing is enabled in Android Teams App, only in iOS. I can't see it in my Teams app on Android, since you are working for Microsoft are you running a preview version or is it the latest public version?
I would guess that they of some reason solved screen sharing from Android by creating a video stream and that is why you have to have IP video enabled for users.
I don't agree that it is not desired to enable video for all users, I recommend that you enable it for all users and if you have problem on some sites you should check if it is possible to fix your network as first step and as an second step disable video for those users. There is an reason that you have to opt out from video when you join a meeting in Teams and it is like that just because it is important to see others when you talk to them.
