We are considering using Phone System for a company that has offices in a few countries. All the offices use the same Office 365 tenant. The tenant is in a country where there are Microsoft Calling Plans. Some of the offices are located at countries where there is no calling plan (only Direct Routing).
I can think of an architecture where all offices use the tenant's call plan together with local DID. This way, all offices would be able to receive internal and external calls. Offices in countries where there is no calling plan would relay on the other offices' calling plans (probably a bit more expensive than calling locally, but simpler). Calling phones that are local to the office (i.e., 1-800 or 0-800 numbers) would probably not be available for the offices withot call plans, but this is something that one can live with.
Am I missing something?
