If you get a link from a teams document library and send it via email to other users, then when they click on it it takes them to the online version of teams but not to the document.
Is there any way that you can change the setting, so when you click the link, it directs to the file via Team Desktop App, rather than launching web browser?

Thanks, is there a way that we can direct to the file directly and open it by the related App like Word, Excel or Powerpoint?

Are there any plans to make links sent to users via email launch in the MS Teams Desktop version instead of online? Does it have to be rolled out to the entire organization in order to do that?

@Shawn_lau Try open the file in the app or desktop app, and sent them an invite link. Use all Members of your company with the link.
