When I add a contact under My Contacts in Outlook, in the past Skype for business would lookup against this list for Skype Call, email integration etc, Since Teams replaced SFB, I am not seeing any new contacts I have added in Outlook, in Teams.   

 

Teams> Calls> Contacts ≠ Outlook > Contacts.

 

(Edit)  Also noted we cannot make calls initiated from Outlook Contact, in past SFB would broker the call, since Teams replaced SFB this inter-connectivity is broken.  

 

Anyone else confirm this?

Same here with one user. New contacts are not being synced to Teams.

I am currently checking if this is a wide spreaded problem or only one user is affected.

We also experience the same.  A contact added to Outlook is not syncing with the same account in Teams (Calls -> Contacts) area.  Is this a wide spread issue taking months to fix?

@Wayne Everhart  This issue has been going on for a very long time.  Outlook contacts ARE NOT syncing at all with Teams.  I can't even get a Microsoft Support representative to provide a timeline as to when we'll see this fixed.  As a MS Partner, this doesn't bode well for us selling Microsoft Office 365 Phone Service subscriptions as well.  Teams still has a long way to go.

My users also experience this issue.  Shouldn't be hard to show all Exchange contacts in Teams.  It also shouldn't be hard for Microsoft to comment on this.  Is this a known issue, does Microsoft need more information, etc...

@Legal-IT Strangely, as of today, my contacts seem to be syncing now from Exchange.  Not sure when it started happen, but it's nice to see they "secretly" addressed it.  :)  Would've been nice to have been informed of this, or at least get some sort of acknowledgment of the issue. 

@BrianAtTechUp I'm curious are you also running Skype for Business?  I've read that Teams will get contact updates from Skype for Business, which we no longer have running.  

@Legal-IT We used to run SfB, but we COMPLETELY upgraded in our Office 365 Admin Portal.  So, there was no going back.  However, we are noticing that some legacy features from our old SfB subscription still active (even though Microsoft ported all of our SfB DID numbers to Teams).  We're seeing things like people using Teams and calling our company email addresses directly; then they leave a voicemail on what appears to be our OLD SfB voicemail boxes (and not Teams).  Thank goodness we turned on the "email copy of voicemail" option, or we'd never know these callers were trying to find us that way.  We've seen some other issues with our Teams Auto-attendant not identifying callers names as well - because that moved from the SfB legacy admin area to the new Teams admin area/portal.  We had to reapply the allow name feature, but it was a little messy with errors (had to close and reopen private browsing sessions, etc.).  Lots to still migrate on the SfB to Teams move I suppose.  :)

I use outlook a lot and also have skype on my computer. The contacts are not being seen by MS Teams when I try to add members to a team or using the @symbol. I really like the new app and am so excited to use it as soon as it is complete and works! Please also consider I have 1 old computer like many users running Windows 7 that I want to have work moving forward@Wayne Everhart 

I've gotten a lot to work with the help of Andrew at Microsoft, I was able to reach him via support.microsoft.com. He helped me get three phone numbers and showed me how to add members to Azure through the Office 365 Admin Portal. This is some high-level Admin IT stuff... it's cool to be learning!  @trekchief

If I add a contact in my Outlook (Office 365), it pretty quickly syncs with Skype for Business.  I can search for it there and it pops right up.

However, it doesn't show up in Teams.  Teams also seems to be only partially showing my contacts - many are missing or incomplete.

I've had this issue for months.  I tried everything and then opened a ticket with Microsoft.  That ticket has been opened with Microsoft for 1 month now.  They were active at the beginning to work it, but none of their suggestions has worked.  Some contacts are in Teams, but around 10% of them are not.  I get the feeling Microsoft has a bug that they don't know how to fix.  I'll keep this thread updated with the progress of my ticket.

The user is having issues getting her TEAMS to work. For some reason when she is signed into TEAMS desktop and web with cpackard@-----.com she is not able to see any of the existing TEAMS contacts, nor can they see and interact with her. However it does show she is signed in and the Updates from TEAMS are reflecting she is all up to date. Version 1.2.00.17057(64Bit) This is the same version i have and i am able to contact some others successfully, however some other people are still missing from the Contacts list.Both Carrie and I have the same version of Office 365 Business Installed (16.0.11727.20244)
From what i am researching with Microsoft, this issue has been going on with many users for several months with no fix yet.
