Microsoft Teams in Surface Hub

Hello Guys

I have installed the Microsoft Teams Preview in the Surface Hub. However, there is no app shortcut of the Microsoft Teams. You need to launch it via Microsoft Store.

Is there any workaround for this issue? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the quick guide however there is no Teams shortcut in Start > All Apps

You may have tried this but I'll confirm with you, have you tried to uninstall and reinstall to see if the shortcut returns?

Are you the admin of the device?

Tried reinstalling it for several times but no success. Same scenario in my other hubs.

Is it worth it to open a case with Microsoft Support?

I would suggest you do. From my understanding, it should have put the shortcut into the menu for you to launch.

Unless someone else here knows what the issue is, it may be worth logging the ticket.

Hi guys,

i can confirm this. We also have no shortcut and I can't even start the application from store.

If we open the app the Microsoft Teams start picture appears and after that the applications disapperars.

We faced the same issue:

Workarounds

To launch the Microsoft Teams on Surface Hub,

1. Go to Surface Apps Store, type "Teams" in the search box > press "search". When the Teams icon shows up, tap on it and click "Launch" -- that's how you launch the Microsoft Teams on the Surface Hub at this moment. 

2. Regarding with the Microsoft Teams is not launching,

Go to Surface Apps Store, uninstall currently installed Microsoft Teams, and restart the Surface Hub. And install it again, launch it from Apps Store. It should launch.

Any word from Microsoft on why that's happening? E.g. App is in preview so it's not working right?

Microsoft Support have escalated the case to their Engineering Team for further troubleshooting

It's in preview, so, usually all we have to do is "be a little patient" :D and workarounds. But of course, we can escalate this to Microsoft too.
