One of our users had a Teams Meeting last week (not a channel meeting) they had some good discussion in the Meeting chat but now they want to share that with others who were not originally invited to the meeting. I am not sure there is a way to accomplish this.
We though if we would simply invite those people to that past meeting they would get to see the chat history, but it looks like you only get to see chat history starting from the point in time you were invited to a meeting. So if you were invited to an in-progress meeting that was halfway done, you would only see chat history from the invite point forward.
Is there an easy way for the meeting organizer to get a transcript of this chat maybe? Am I missing something obvious? It wouldn't be the first time.
Yeah, I figured that was part of it. The meeting chat does contain the start and stop time for every instance so in theory if I would invite somebody to a single instance it could just display the chat for that time frame.
But the simplest solution would be just a clean way to export the chat.
Currently no way to do this. If the meeting organizer searches for the meeting in the search bar, they should see the history? The problem is if they can, trying to export it :). Good feedback thou. Would be nice to be able to access the chat log, especially if the meeting gets recorded.
