On MS Ignite 2018 Shifts and Home was announced as replacement for StuffHub. Any idea when will this be launched? I have tried in multiple tenants, all with enabled First release, but it is still not visible in store or Teams for that matter.

Hi Tomaz,
As confirmed by Microsoft on their StaffHub Retirement post -
Will Microsoft Teams offer all of the functionality currently offered in Microsoft StaffHub?
Yes, starting in November 2018, Microsoft Teams will offer a Shifts feature, which enables managers to create, update, and manage schedules, and lets employees post their availability, swap shifts, and request time off. In addition, the Home view in the Teams mobile app will display the employee’s schedule and important company announcements.
Whether Microsoft actually do it is open to guesswork as Shifts and Home are not actually on their roadmap at https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/roadmap from what I can tell, but like Adam says let's see as we are only halfway through the month
Best, Chris

Does anyone see the Shifts feature yet? I still don't see it in my Teams but got asked about it today from our call center manager.

Not yet .. It looks like it is not yet rolled-out, even though Microsoft mentioned they will start roll-out in November. Also there is no exact date on roll-out and nothing appeared in tenant message center.
Cheers,
H

Anyone know if this requires "enabling" by admins or will it be defaulted for all users? If it has to be enabled does it have to be company wide? Thanks!

It doesn't really work if you enable developer preview, yes the managers interface will appear in the desktop client, but you wont get the new functionality in the mobile application as a shift worker. Just wait for release in the new year.

Hi Donovan,
You need to ensure it’s enabled in the tenant, then the desktop app.
You can follow the guide here
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/resources/dev-preview/developer-preview
Best, Chris
Is that just for the current Development mode and when its fully released it won't require a tenant approval, or will also require that once public as well? Thanks

Do we know if you need a certain version of Teams to see it? Maybe it's not out for everyone yet? I found this page that shows it should be in the sidebar or under More Apps but I don't see it. Not even if I search the store.
Our Customer Support manager has been waiting for this so I'm hoping I can find it and he can start testing it out.

There is a line in that article that says:
"With Shifts now available in Teams for all customers, the new API makes integration between Shifts and enterprise scheduling systems possible, enabling seamless access to workforce management systems for managers and employees, right from Teams."
So that's why I went looking for it. I guess I'll just keep waiting. ;)

Hi @adam deltinger @Mike Boehm
'And today, we are announcing the general availability of Shifts'
I was discussing it with @Vesa Nopanen on Twitter and none of us can see it yet. As you say, going to take some time to roll out to tenants: probably a few days at least.
Best, Chris

Got the update today, it's available for us now.

Hey Joe, so your clients themselves updated to show it? Can you supply the version number you are seeing? Thanks
01-11-2019 12:08 PM
Not Joe, but our version didn't change. My client still shows 31860, updated 1/8/19. Same as it did this morning.
I noticed Shifts first in the browser - my client didn't show it. But just now I quit the app completely and restarted, and there it was.

Yeah, complete logout, quit and restart and still no go, version and last update below:
You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.1.00.31860 (64-bit). It was last updated on 12/7/18
Edit: Also doesn't show in web either

Thanks for the image, shift information sure wasn’t easy to find in the iOS app. Had to click on my profile name to see the detail info. That included shifts. Not where I expected it.
Edit to add: and it took me a week to figure out in ios the bottom bar can be expanded up and shifts can be found there. Love the fact you van determine how many icons to show.
Wish guests could be included...

Hi!
I am connected to 2 tenants. one where StaffHub is used and now Teams. I really want to have Home available too since we actually use the Time Clock feature. We are restructuring our Teams so we plan to start using Teams for scheduling starting Monday Feb 2nd and since there isn't a communicated way to migrate data over from StaffHub we went this way of just creating another team let our users DL Teams and have joined them to the new team with schedules starting in Feb. So does anyone think the Home feature will be there yet? In the other tenant we use iOS, and Shifts is yet to appear there as of today, despite log out/in

Brilliant!
Didnt even know of the swipe-up feature until you said that!
Hey presto, theres Shifts and everything else i was looking for :)
It was under my nose the whole time!

Hi!
I got the Shifts feature going but I am missing the Home part in my mobile apps. I guess there will be nothing like that on the desktop?
I was wondering, I saw this demo from ignite with a slide that showed the Teams admin center with toggles for all Teams built in apps, and among them Home and Shifts, I cant see anything resembling this in my tenants, do you have Teams Apps show up in the admin center for Teams?

Shifts has been rolled out but strangely Home which is tigltly integrated is not, and not all features are in the admin center either, But scheduling is on par with StaffHub and generally available now. There is a Shifts tab in the Teams mobile client now too, but Home and clocking in is missing. time off, shift swapping and that stuff works,

@Hasse Edqvist
I guess you are referring to the feature described here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-for-firstline-workers/manage-the-shifts-app-fo...
If so, did it already show up in your Admin Center? I'm also searching for the option but can't see it so far.

Any news on Home? I saw that they stardet rolling out whats now called time clock feature as an opt in in Teams, but I haven't seen it yet in any tenant I manage.

@adam deltinger Hey Adam, any word on those migration tools? Also any idea on the timeclock for shifts mobile? I see its been pushed back from May to Q2 of 2019.
Thank you,
Tony
