Are there plans to support all of the features in Teams with External Users? We have vendors that I communicate with via Teams. They too have Teams but since they are outside our organizations, "Some Team Features won't be available" ... which should read "pretty much none of the features will work except for chat" Simple things like attachments, screenshots, emojis would be useful when communicating with vendors and other external users.
@adam deltinger Thanks adam. I am not totally familiar with modern federation. Is this similar to federation configuration in an on-premise AD where each side has to enable permissions? That would be tough to enable when it comes to vendors, I imagine.
Federation here just means chat between different tenants as you describe you’re doing :) today you can set like a white / block list of allowed tenants to chat with or a certain domain but default is everyone so it’s mostly not an issue!
So basically it will work as today but just better, having emojis and gifs etc hopefully

I hope this comes soon. It feels really odd to be chatting with an external user who is also using Teams and all you can do is write plain text! No inline images either. If you want Teams to be really successful, it needs to feature match the competition. Even email is better than Teams here...
