Hi All,

maybe someone can shed a light on this, but we are running Teams in our Organization now for the first time I'm involved in a project with an external customer and they also run Teams and they invited me to Join a Teams for that specific project. However in order for me to be a part of that Teams work space I have to change the Organization to their Org. I guess so I will not be able to see my organizational Teams at the same time?? Is that really how it supposed to work? Any Ideas or workarounds to be able to have both organizations open at the same time?

thanks

regards

Martin

Solution

Hi Martin,

At present this is how it works - much like switching channels in Yammer: there is a great article by Petri explaining it at https://www.petri.com/external-access-microsoft-teams and refer to the section switching between tenants. I have to do the same when I jump into the Microsoft Tenant as I work with them a fair bit.

You could possibly raise this through Teams User Voice of which there is a current ticket open at https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/34884622-need-better-multi-ten... . There are quite a few people who also want to see this functionality.

Best, Chris

Hi Christopher,

thanks for the information, I guessed this was the scenario, I just wanted confirmation from the group.
