Disabling 3rd party apps and Exchange query?

Iron Contributor

Hi all,

I have a query from a customer about who is interested in implementing Microsoft Teams.

  • Exchange:

We should them how to use it. They have a concern. When we create a new Team using Microsoft Teams app, Team (via Office 365 Groups) automatically a shared mailbox (Exchange), a modern SharePoint Site, OneDrive, etc.

The customer asked that if the new Team is created, do they have to get an additional license for Exchange? I think it is already in their E3 subscription.

  • Disabling 3rd party Teams apps:

Can we use this link ?
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-app-permission-policies

Please advise? .

You don't get a shared mailbox, you get an Office 365 Group mailbox, which is free (no license required). And yes you can use the method outlined in the documentation to block/

thanks a ton on for a quick reply
