My office has a Sharepoint site, and I would like to use Teams. However, when I go to the Files tab in the "General" channel, there are no files listed. When I open in SharePoint, I am taken to an empty sharepoint folder called General. We can't move everything from Documents into General because we have a large number of shared and embedded files. I have tried creating a channel called "Documents" to see if the Files tab will link to that folder on Sharepoint, but that doesn't work. We also have an Staff Notebook that we use frequently. On the General tab, when I click the Staff Notebook, I see a message that says, "We're still setting up your staff notebook." When I try to add a new tab and click on the OneNote app, instead of seeing the available notebooks, I get Error Code: 20212. I'm afraid to delete the team because I don't want to lose all of our files. How can I get the links fixed?
When you open in SharePoint, can you click back a level and see your documents, or did you create a whole new group(Sharepoint site) when you created that Team?
If you use Move To in the same library, you should be able to move everything into General without affecting links. I would try one document and see, but this assumes you create a Team based on your existing site.
Thanks. I linked to a Sharepoint site and did not have to add a new folder.
I also figured out how to get the Staff Notebook link working again. I went to Site Assets for the group and created a new OneNote notebook using the naming convention the system would have followed. My next step is to copy content from the notebook we have been using into the new notebook that is linked to Teams.
